It almost has a conversational tone to it, similar to Cat Stevens’ Father & Son. Filled with levity, learnings and lessons from life – this one is for the legacy. The harmonies tend to be notes you naturally follow, creating a beautiful thread of sound… Soothing and melodic, her voice is the guiding light in a song like this. The honesty and morals from the trials of life are what she is putting forward, but like a musical teacher – someone like Mitchell.
This song would fit perfectly in a series like This is Us. From the dynamics and relationships and memories to share – there are constant threads of relation.

'Keep Movin' Forward'
written and Performed by Dana Schindel
produced by Kaj Falch-Nielsen & Dana Schindel
"I want to mention just a couple of individual performances. I was in love with the sensual and emotional ease of Dana Schindel’s Polly Garter"
- Colin Thomas
“Like peeping Toms we visit them, eavesdrop on the town gossips discussing who’s pregnant again, catch Mr. Pugh fantasizing about killing Mrs. Pugh, observe twice-widowed Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard in her voluminous white nightgown, check out the local badboy Nogood Boyo and fall half in love with Polly Garter who, despite many lovers, dreams of 'little Willy Wee who is six feet deep'.
There is strong multi-cast ensemble work with some standout performances including Rebecca Walters, Dana Schindel, David Hollinshead and Matt Loop.”

While the eponymous character is central to the story, this is a true ensemble piece and therefore hard to single out individual performances. Perhaps the exceptions are Charmaine Sibande who arguably has the most to do as the third Emilia exhibiting controlled rage and Dana Schindel is hilarious as Susan Bertie, Emilia’s early mentor.
- John Jane, Review Vancouver
In a wonderful scene, [Emilia] and some other young ladies are given "dance" lessons [by Schindel’s Susan Bertie]…. Stirring, first-rate work from United Players.
- Vancouver Plays
There's a force blowing off the stage in director Lois Anderson's production of Emilia. It feels
like a stiff, invigorating wind. In fact, it's a combination of confidence and fury.
